Cipher Premium — Subscription Details
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using Cipher AI ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute the End User License Agreement (EULA) for Cipher AI. Use of the App is also subject to Apple's Standard EULA. In the event of any conflict, Apple's EULA takes precedence.
2. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the App Store Terms of Service.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Sublicense or sell access to the App
3. Cipher Premium Subscriptions
Cipher AI offers an optional auto-renewable subscription called Cipher Premium, which unlocks additional features including removal of ads, all device tools, MCP integrations, document library access, and unlimited chat history.
Subscription plans:
- Monthly: $2.99 per month
- Annual: $17.99 per year (billed annually)
Prices are in USD and may vary by region based on local App Store pricing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
Automatic renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.
Cancellation: You may cancel at any time by going to iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Cipher AI. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial periods, except where required by law.
Price changes: We may change subscription prices. You will be notified of price changes in advance and will have the opportunity to cancel before the new price takes effect.
4. Free Tier and Advertising
The free tier of Cipher AI is supported by advertising. Ads are served by Google AdMob. Upgrading to Cipher Premium permanently removes all ads for the duration of your active subscription.
5. On-Device AI and Third-Party Models
Cipher AI enables you to download and run open-source AI language models on your device. These models are provided by third parties (such as Meta, Google, Alibaba, and others) under their respective licenses. We make no warranties about the accuracy, safety, or appropriateness of outputs generated by AI models.
You are responsible for how you use AI-generated content. Do not rely on AI outputs for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions.
6. LMBridge Remote Inference
Cipher AI may optionally connect to a self-hosted LMBridge server that you operate. This feature requires you to set up and maintain your own server. We are not responsible for the security, availability, or performance of your self-hosted server.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App to:
- Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, or abusive
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
- Attempt to harm, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any systems
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI outputs will be accurate or appropriate for any purpose.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. We will post updated Terms at this URL.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of West Virginia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
